Why you should take this course
Fashion brands and retailers are not always aware of the impacts of their buying practices on the suppliers. The consequences are risks such as undeclared sub-contracting, higher pressure on workers to meet delivery deadline, quality issues, and so on. In particular, the buying practices can be, in part, responsible for some of the difficulties the suppliers encounter in an attempt to meet the brands expectations in terms of code of conduct / social compliance. This is why the transition towards “responsible” buying practices is becoming more and more important as a way of supporting suppliers in becoming more compliant and efficient.
